Colliers International is expecting strong interest in the extensively refurbished Wharf Inn in Worcestershire, which is on the market at a freehold price of £450,000 plus VAT.
The extensively refurbished inn, at Holt Heath, comprises a well-fitted 36 cover bar with a conservatory-style extension overlooking the River Severn, and a well-appointed 36 cover restaurant. A car-themed games room, complete with pool table, caters to 90 covers and the function room has its own bar.
The Wharf Inn also provides owner-accommodation if the form of a smart two-bedroom flat (a third is currently used as an office) with a living room, kitchen/dining room and bathroom.
The property is in a cross-country location close to one of Thomas Telford’s iconic bridges, providing easy access to Worcester and the M5.
Colliers International Hotels Director, Peter Brunt, believes that interest in the property will be high, as riverside inns are fantastic for year-round business, and the Wharf benefits from the dedication of the previous owners.
“Our clients, who had no experience in the hospitality trade, took on The Wharf when it had hit a low point in a long history of successful trading,” he said.
“They set about restoring the building both physically and in terms of its reputation. The business has moved from strength to strength but the owners decided to move on to their next challenge and adventure.”
