Leading South West commercial property consultants Vickery Holman have confirmed two new lettings, as the Devon and Cornwall based firm continues to strengthen its team.
Insurance company, Towergate, has recently taken occupation of office space at the Gateway Business Centre in Redruth, as the firm seeks to consolidate its activities in Cornwall.
Towergate’s relocation comes as the new building, which offers attractive facilities including an on-site gym and café, becomes available to other occupiers.
Vickery Holman has joined Miller Commercial as letting agents for the property which is described as providing “some of the best office space on offer in Cornwall.”
Alan Treloar of Vickery Holman said: “Space requirements can be met from around 100 sq m upwards within the building and in addition to facilities such as the café and gym, the development boasts the latest in high speed communication connectivity and is assessed as being BREEAM excellent for its sustainability and environmental credentials.”
Elsewhere in the county, Vickery Holman has concluded the letting of a shop in Helston to Countrywide Estate Agents.
The property has a ground floor sales area of 68 sq m together with additional back-up space of 45 sq m. It was let off an asking price of £17,500 per annum, after A2 planning consent was obtained to widen its marketability.
The lettings coincide with the news of the promotion of two Vickery Holman staff to Associate level.
Alex Sproson, leading the local building surveying team and Clare Cochrane, local lead for the commercial agency service, have been with Vickery Holman since joining the firm as graduates.
Alex said; “We have both enjoyed the excellent early training that Vickery Holman provides across its three South West offices, qualifying as chartered surveyors, before then developing our roles as senior fee earners.”
Clare added that she is delighted that Vickery Holman has recognised the pair’s hard work, dedication and commitment to the future of the company.
Managing Director, Mark Pellow said: “We see the appointment of Alex and Clare becoming Associates as the next natural step within our company’s future development and we feel that the skills that they bring forward will add a new and refreshing touch. They will also both be able to provide further drive to the on-going development of our business in Exeter.”
The promotions follow a number of new appointments which have seen Vickery Holman’s staff rise to a higher level than it was prior to the recession, as the company responds to increased activity in the commercial market.
