One of Plymouth’s best known music venues has been placed on the market with commercial property specialists Bruton Knowles.
11 The Parade, currently operating as the Barbican Live Lounge, is being offered for sale as a leisure investment with a guide price of £675,000.
Mark Slade, of Bruton Knowles, believes the waterfront venue will attract a great deal of interest.“The property itself is a four-storey warehouse with the upper floors operating as a nightclub”, he said.
“With a fantastic position on The Barbican, a long lease in place and a good return at over 10.5 per cent, we are expecting considerable interest from investors.”
The barrel –roofed bar has played host to many up and coming performers ranging from indie and rock bands to jazz, blues and soul acts.
The long leasehold interest (999 years) will be sold with the benefit of the lease for a term of 35 years from May 2000, leaving 19.5 years unexpired.
