After a buoyant 12 months, chartered surveyors and property consultants Kirkby Diamond has cemented its reputation as the leading office agency serving the M1 corridor.
During the year ending in May, the firm completed 56 transactions – 18 per cent more than its closest competitor – with major transactions that included the sale of 51 Bromham Road, Bedford, a 14,967 sq ft office, and the 11,461 sq ft One Hastings Street in Luton.
Kirkby Diamond, with offices in Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedford, was also responsible for the largest vacant possession office space sale in Milton Keynes. The 7,300 sq ft deal was signed at more than £145 per square foot.
Among its largest leasehold deals was agreeing terms for Hassett House, Bromham Road, a 12,850 sq ft office space in Bedford. More recently, Kirkby Diamond has put under offer 5,500 sq ft of freehold office space in the wider Milton Keynes area.
Eamon Kennedy is head of the commercial agency group at Kirkby Diamond. “The dynamic state of the market has propelled the consultancy to the top of the table when it comes to completed deals, compared with other agencies in the area,” he explained.
“We have experienced a very dynamic office market along the M1 corridor over the past 12 months, which has led us to be at the forefront of driving transactions.
“And we see no sign of this abating,” added Kennedy. “Our expert team has worked hard to close some excellent deals in the region, securing both leading and established businesses good quality office space that will enable them to grow their companies, which in turn contributes to the economy of the area and attracts much-needed jobs.
The firm’s success has led to two national industry awards, prompting Kennedy to conclude: “We are widely recognised in the industry as the leading commercial property agents in the region, where we are enjoying continued growth.”
