Property advisors Innes England has strengthened its Derby office with the appointment of Stuart Waite as an associate director.
Joining from BNP Paribas Real Estate, where he was a member of the industrial and logistics team handling acquisitions, development and disposals for a variety of clients, Waite will be leading the firm’s industrial work. “I have experience across the majority of sectors and I’m looking forward to exploiting that as part of Derby’s business space agency team,” he said.
While at BNP Waite provided advice to a number of high-profile clients and, for a time, was seconded to Rolls-Royce’s estates team at Pride Park in Derby to work on a number of national transactional projects.
Innes England’s Derby office has signed more than one-million square feet of industrial deals in the last 12 months, including Kuehne & Nagel’s pre-let of a new 632,000sq ft distribution warehouse for Heineken at Derby Commercial Park and the 200,000sq ft letting to Ceva to support its distribution contract with Rolls-Royce.
“The property market is gaining healthy momentum once more and it is essential that we have the right people to take full advantage of increased activity,” said director Nick Hosking, “and I am confident that Stuart will do exactly that.”
Kingswinford-based London & Cambridge Properties (LCP) has promoted senior retail asset manager Jo Salmon to retail portfolio manager.
The chartered surveyor, who joined the Dudley business in 1997 following a period as valuation surveyor at Richard Ellis, will lead a team of retail asset managers who between them oversee LCP’s entire retail and leisure portfolio of more than 175 retail sites, including eight shopping centres across the UK.
Scotland’s largest independent firm of accountants and business advisers, Johnston Carmichael, has appointed Robert Winter as a manager to its specialist property team. He joins the firm’s capital allowances unit from construction consultancy Davis Langdon and will work alongside fellow surveyor Michael Murray, who also recently joined 11 branch practice from Davis Langdon.
Claire Charman has joined management and property consultancy AA Projects as a divisional director. She will lead the project management team based in the firm’s Birmingham office.
With 15 years’ experience within the industry, Charman has previously been involved with the £150m regeneration of Wolverhampton train station, a security access project at Birmingham International Airport, and the development of Wyre Forest District Council’s Civic Office headquarters. She joins AA Projects from Rider Levett Bucknall where she was head of project management.
Commercial property agent Knight Frank has recruited Ben White to its Sheffield office as a senior surveyor. He will be working alongside partners Stephen Hodgson, Peter Whiteley and Rebecca Schofield to develop client schemes and investments across the Sheffield City Region.
