Less than three months after it was launched Queensberry Strategic Property Management (QSPM) has named its first team member. Simon Pullen (pictured) has left his job as general manager of Bath’s SouthGate shopping centre to oversee the opening of the firm’s inaugural office.
Set up by Iain Guest in December last year, QSPM operates alongside its parent company — Queensberry Real Estate (QRE) — to offer a range of management services including shopping centre set up, strategic asset management and centre management consultancy.
One of the real estate firm’s biggest projects is the construction of the 390,000 sq ft Friars Walk retail and leisure complex in Newport city centre. On schedule for a November opening it is already 65 per cent let.
Simon Pullen said ‘I’m really looking forward to working with Queensberry on this very exciting project, I know Newport well having worked in the city previously. Friars Walk will make a massive difference to Newport and it will be great to see people returning to the city centre to shop and dine’.
As operations director, Pullen will take charge of QSPM’s first office within Friars Walk. He will also be responsible for delivering practice management operations and systems for both Queensberry companies and their clients.
“I have worked with Simon on previous shopping centres including Wrexham and SouthGate, Bath” said QSPM’s managing director, Iain Guest. “Simon is a very experienced centre manager and comes with first class credentials. He will be a great asset to QSPM and Friars Walk.
“Simon will also work alongside me on all other Queensberry Real Estate projects and client instructions where needed including Kingsway, Newport and Tunsgate, Guildford. I look forward to working with him again.”
