Designed by James Law Cybertecture, the Cybertecture Egg in Mumbai, India, is currently in its design stage and is a true state-of-the-art office building. The concept was inspired by earth and “being a self sustaining vessel with an ecosystem that allows life to exist, grow and evolve.” The firms aim was to give the building’s residents a conducive working environment.
Cybertecture said in a document: “In the 21st Century, buildings will not be created by just concrete, steel and glass of the 20th century, but also with the intangible materials of technology, multimedia, intelligence and interactivity.
“Buildings are no longer about. This enlightenment gives rise to a new form of architecture.”
The hi-tech aspects are impressive, with interactive features that are used to promote wellness in the worker. For instance, it can monitor certain health aspects such as blood pressure and weight,as well as offer real time virtual scenery so every day could be a different experience.
