Last week Auction House hosted several property auctions at venues across the UK. The bidding began on Tuesday at the York Auction Centre where 45 per cent of the 9 lots on offer were sold raising a total of £679,000.
The following day the action shifted to the Hilton Northampton where 17 lots were on offer. Eleven of these were sold raising a total of £1,331,500. The highlight of the auction was a mixed commercial and residential investment property on Thrapston High Street which sold for £360,000.
On Thursday Auction House Manchester invited bids on 50 properties at the Etihad Stadium. Although the results for only 14 of the lots sold are currently available, the auction raised at least £871,000.
On the same day at Chester Race Course an impressive 82 per cent of the 22 properties on offer were sold raising £1,536,500. Among the lots attracting bidders was a detached two bedroom house within a minutes walking distance of the historic village of Overton which sold for £209,000.
Finally, 15 lots were on offer at the Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes. Of these, 4 were sold prior to the auction and another 4 were sold in the room. Together with a further lot which was sold after the auction, the event raised £846,500.
In addition to these auctions, 41 lots were on offer at Preston North End Football Club and 5 lots went under the gavel at Thornbury Castle. At the time of writing the results for these auctions were unavailable.
