Auction House, which has reported a record start to the year, enjoyed further impressive results last week.
At the first Chesterfield auction, hosted by Auction House Copelands, 89% of the lots offered were sold. With a number of lots selling at well above the guide price, the auction raised a total of £654,550.
There was a similar story at the Copthorne Hotel in Sheffield where Auction House South Yorkshire sold 86% of the seven lots offered raising £605,500. These included a 242 sq m plot of land with a guide price of £70,000 which was sold for £121,000.
At York Auction Centre, Auction House Stephenson & Son had a tremendous evening which ended with 100% of the lots offered sold. In total the auction raised £756,000.
Meanwhile Auction House Devon & Cornwall has reported a 93% success rate from lots offered in the last twelve months.
Expressing his delight with the results, auctioneer Adam Cook said; “We may not offer as many lots for sale as some collective auctioneers, but we certainly sell a high percentage of what we offer. A 93% sales success rate from our last seven auctions is something to be proud of.”
