Check-in at Regus and You Could Get a Reward

If you are anything like me, you will tweet or check-in on Facebook if you are out and about and enjoying something. Usually you get nothing back from the company for actively advertising them, but that was until Regus launched a new loyalty programme.

The new service launched by Regus rewards people who are active on social media channels. The initiative, which is only available in the USA at the moment, enables people to earn points and redeem them against services offered by the office provider.

Users can earn points by tweeting, sharing videos on YouTube and by posting and checking-in on Facebook and Foursquare. Once a user has gained points they can be changed into tokens and used to book facilities of their choice, depending how many points they have. 500 points is equivalent to one token. A meeting room will cost 20 tokens; a month of virtual office use will cost 35 tokens, whereas one hour of administrative support will cost 15 tokens.

Speaking of the initiative, Rebecca Tann, Marketing Vice President at Regus, said: “People today are passionate and excited about how, where and when they work. We’ve learned that nobody tells the Regus story better than those who use us and this program rewards them for sharing their experiences.

“As a b2b brand we are always looking for a new way to engage with existing and potential clients and we’ve found social media is a great way to do that.”

Currently the programme is only open to American users, but if it was available in the UK would you participate? The majority of us are on some sort of social media channel, so it does seem like an easy way to get something for free – just doing what you do in your day-to-day life anyway.
