A national freight logistics firm is moving into the former City Link hub in South Wales. Rhys Davies Logistics has taken the 51,630 sq ft unit, on Moy Road Industrial Estate in Taffs Well, on a ten year lease.
The industrial estate is only 1 mile from Junction 32 of the M4 motorway, and six miles from Cardiff city centre, providing the firm with an ideal location from which to expand their operation in the area.
The deal was orchestrated by DTZ’s Cardiff office on behalf of landlord Delyn Properties.
DTZ will now take on the task of marketing Rhys Davies Logistics’ former base, which is located on the same estate but is slightly smaller than the new warehouse.
Unit A measures 26,569 sq ft and includes detached office units, a large car parking space and sizeable yard suitable for growing logistics or distribution firms.
Rob Ladd of DTZ Cardiff’s industrial agency team believes the opportunity to acquire the unit will be met with enthusiasm by local firms.
He says; “City Link’s former premises presented a strategic opportunity for Rhys Davies to expand their South Wales base whilst remaining at a very advantageous logistics location.
“Given the current shortage of industrial stock of this size in South Wales, their previous unit at the estate offers a rare opportunity for an occupier to secure well located industrial accommodation with a yard.”
