Auction House has been awarded another two top industry accolades at this year’s Negotiator Awards ceremony, which was held at the London Hilton earlier this month.
Auction House added to its impressive haul of awards by collecting the silver for Residential Auction House of the Year 2014, and the bronze for Franchisor of the Year at the glittering event hosted by comedian and television personality Alexander Armstrong.
The group’s latest gongs take its total number of major industry awards to ten in just three years. And this number could increase further in the Estate Agency of the Year Awards – in which Auction House has consistently performed well – which will be announced next month.
Mick Haywood, of Auction House South East Wales, believes that the accolades reflect consistent high performance.
“For Auction House to have been chosen by its industry peers as a top auctioneer and franchise operator in consecutive years is a remarkable achievement.
“We have expanded continuously over the period and it is especially pleasing to hear that our standards haven’t dropped,” he said.
Since its launch in 2007, Auction House has grown to become the UK’s largest residential auctioneer, in terms of lots sold, and the 4th largest commercial property auctioneer. The group currently has 40 auction rooms across England, Scotland and Wales and accounts for nearly 11 per cent of property auction sales.
Mick Haywood continued to say that Auction House has sold 2,486 lots across the UK this year – an increase of 15 per cent, with the total raised from the sales currently standing at £294 million.
“It is important that the work of the property auction sector continues to be acknowledged by awards, and that auctioneers earn the further respect that comes from being honoured in this way,” he added.
